Our first date

The start of our forever

It was around eight o’clock in the evening. I was waiting eagerly to receive a text from Juan to let me know he had arrived. When I received the text, I could feel the butterflies begin to flutter. I had seen Juan here and there around school but I had never really spoken to him. I was trying so hard not to trip over my own feet or swing my arms around. I finally spotted the red pickup truck that Juan was driving. I could tell that he would glimpse up and look at me then put his head back down. When I got into the truck, Juan looked up at me smiling and with a soft gentle voice said, "Hey". Juan was on his phone trying to find things that we could do. (*NOTE! His hand was shaking when he was looking up places, and I asked him later on into our relationship if he was nervous. He replied as he always does and said he never gets nervous.) We decided on going to Steel City pops in downtown Dallas. During the whole drive there all Juan played was our favorite country singer Granger Smith. When we arrived, I had no clue what Steel City pops was. However, there was a really long line. We got our popsicles (*Sweet tea flavor) and sat in the truck. Juan was not able to walk because of an injury that had happened the day before. But we just sat there and talked and really just enjoyed each others personalitys. We ending up looking at our drivers license pictures and laughing about how bad we both looked. We had to head back to the dorm early due to me having RA training early the next morning. When he dropped me off, I turned around and said thank you while opening the truck door. He tried to reached for my hand but missed it by a few. He watched to make sure that I made it to my dorm safely, then left. When I entered my dorm room, I had two roommates who were waiting for me to tell them how it all went. I walked in my room and just laid on my bed taking a big deep breath and sighing about how amazing the date was. I knew then that I was completely head over hills.
