We met the summer before 9th grade—August 2011—at CAHS. He noticed me first.Freshman year, we shared most of our classes and had the same homeroom. Somewhere along the way, he became my best friend. Throughout high school, we were inseparable. Our bond only grew stronger with each passing year—so much so that our classmates voted us “Should Have Been a Couple” for our senior superlative. But we never dated. College came, and life started pulling us in different directions. Eventually, we stopped talking altogether—for four years. Then, on his birthday in 2022, something in me said to call him. And to my surprise, he picked up. The moment we started talking, it felt like no time had passed. That call changed everything. We've been together ever since! The most beautiful part of our story is that love brought us back. We honor that every single day. And with God guiding us, we know this is forever.
