FAQs

The Wedding Website of Nadia Bowman and CJ Farmer
Nadia & CJ are planning a private ceremony with close friends and family in the stunning Joshua Tree National Park - but they also want to celebrate with all their favorite people back home in West Michigan! It’s the best of both worlds: an intimate moment in nature, followed by a joyful gathering with everyone they love.
Question

Is this just a reception party?

Answer

Absolutely - it is! We're keeping things intimate with a small family-only ceremony on September 12th, 2025 in West Michigan. Then we’re heading to Joshua Tree National Park to celebrate with close friends from the 13th to the 21st - think laid-back vibes, nature, and quality time together. We love you and can’t wait to toast our marriage with you in a fun, relaxed, and budget-friendly way!

Question

Why did you guys choose to have a micro wedding/elopement?

Answer

We really value keeping things personal - just sharing meaningful moments with our closest friends and family. Weddings can get pretty pricey, so this approach lets us celebrate in a way that feels true to us without stretching our budget. It’s all about connection, not extravagance.

Question

How did you pick Joshua Tree National Park?

Answer

We had a blast putting together a little PowerPoint of our top 5–7 national parks we were dreaming about visiting - complete with reasons why each one made the cut. Joshua Tree totally stole our hearts, and from that moment on, everything just clicked!

Question

Why a National Park?

Answer

We’re all about backpacking, hiking, and camping - being out in nature is totally our happy place. So what better way to celebrate us than surrounded by the beauty of a national park? It just felt like the perfect fit.

Question

Why a longer engagement?

Answer

Nadia’s in the final stretch of her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Michigan State, with graduation set for May 2026! Juggling grad school and wedding planning? Not exactly a breeze - so they decided to hold off on tying the knot until after she finishes her program. It’s all about timing that feels right.
