How to get to the family home - Hawk’s View
The house is actually closer to 665 Lockwood Road, not 664 even though that’s the technical address. Please come in through the drive way, you will see a sign and our mailbox, and inside you will find place to park. We will send out a map with a drawn out route for once you get to Craryville.
Flight
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)
Direct AirTrain + NJ Transit connection to Penn Station (about 30-40 minutes total). No need to transfer between subway lines like from JFK. Often has competitive flight options, especially for domestic and international routes.

You can take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station, then LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) to Penn Station. Takes about 50–60 minutes total. A little more transferring than from Newark, but still fairly direct.
Train
Amtrak from Penn Station to Hudson
Take the Amtrak Empire Service directly to Hudson, NY – it's a beautiful 2-hour ride along the Hudson River. Book in advance for better prices and to avoid sold-out trains during summer weekends.
Rental Car
Turo or Costco Car Rental
If you are thinking of renting cars, Turo (an Airbnb-type app for renting cars) or Costco Car Rental are usually more affordable than normal car rental companies. However, you can also do Hertz, Budget, Thrifty, etc.

Airbnb
Airbnb can be a great option for groups - try to look for Hillsdale, Craryville, or Copake Lake (as well as Hudson). If you want to do an Airbnb you have to move FAST as it is common for people to book their summer vacation home in the fall.
