We met in the Dominican Republic on a trip that my cousin (Anthia) coordinated. We were introduced briefly as we all headed to lunch, it was during the pandemic and the restaurant had a strict masking policy- Julien did not have one. I said ‘I have an extra one, but it has lipstick all over it.’ Julien said that’s okay and put the mask on - he then turned to me and said ‘you know technically we just tap kissed.’ I laughed and thought this guy has no chance. Little did I know I had just met my husband.

Fun fact - Julien's birthday and Valentine's Day are 1 day apart. This year to celebrate both we took a trip to Paris. On his birthday we were having dinner inside the Eiffel Tower. The restaurant was beautiful and the view was stunning. The food was amazing and therefore I was really looking forward to dessert! As they brought over my dessert plate, there was a small box on it and I thought "umm you forgot the dessert.’ Julien then got down on one knee and it finally hit me. He said, ‘You always know how to make everybody else’s day special. And even on my special day I want to let you know that it's not a special day if I weren’t able to share it with you.
