Maid of Honor
Brittany and I have been best friends since 6th grade when we met in gym class and would spend after school ordering pizza and watching our favorite youtubers. Since then, we have been through everything together, our first heartbreaks to graduating college, to moving far away and growing up in this crazy world. I would not have done it without her in my life, especially with the ways I have learned to stand up for myself through her. Brittany is who actually rescued Willow and rehomed her with me too! I am so grateful to have her as one on my oldest, bestest friends in my life and I can't imagine getting married without her by my side!
Maid of Honor
Amanda and I have been best friends since as long as I can remember! We grew up playing soccer together as kids, watching movies together and listening to our favorite songs on long car rides. Some of my favorite memories with her is staring up at the sky on a random sidewalk curb in Colorado just talking about life (very #tumblr of us). We both have this romanticised view of the world and I can't imagine heading to this chapter in my life without her by my side. Amanda is one of those people I hope everyone is lucky enough to meet, because she just gets you ya know. From Arctic Monkeys concerts to weekends at ACL and SXSW, I am so lucky to have Amanda as a lifelong friend who I love dearly.
Bridesmaid
JUKIEZ. My freaking girl, I met Julia on the first day of orientation at UT Austin when she so happened to sit in the same row as me and asked if I was also a biology major. From that day we became inseparable! Mutual friends would often say if they ran into one of us on campus, the other probably wasn't too far behind lol. Julia is one of the most special people in my life, I would not have gotten through undergrad nor reached these milestones in my career without her. She inspires me every single day by the example she sets and how much she cares about others. I think every memory I have with her is tied for my favorite, I am so lucky to have her here with me on my special day!
Bridesmaid
I met Shannon in college before I transferred to UT, when I was still playing soccer at my first university in arkansas. We were randomly assigned as roommates and we became quick friends, and thank goodness because I would not have survived those seasons without her! Shannon has gone above and beyond in our friendship, even after I left she was constantly there for me and I'm so lucky to have her in my life. We have so many memories of laughing until our stomachs hurt, to bringing some chaotic energy on the team bus and traveling all over on a whim. So happy she will be by my side on my wedding day :')
Bridesmaid
Alyssa and I met in grad school and became fast friends when we realized we both loved Taylor Swift and like everything in pop culture. We went to the Eras tour together which like is a whole monumental girlhood experience itself, but some of my favorite memories with her are summer nights at her house, some wine and reality TV :') I have learned so much from Alyssa, especially about perseverance and hard work, she inspires me everyday to be a better person and better scientist, I'm so luck to have her here with me!
Bridesmaid
Camille and I became such fast friends when she moved in next door (with Todd one of our groomsman!) and we quickly bonded over what books we were reading and albums we were listening to! Some of my favorite memories with her were when we got margs together and caught up on each other's ~lore~, a true girlhood moment. Of course can't forget about our almost weekly movie and board game nights and our brunch mornings at the June Cork!! Her passion for helping others and speaking out against injustices inspire me almost everyday, I'm so lucky to have a friend like her :')
Bridesmaid
I met Sophie in grad school and were labmates in the same research group! Sophie was there for me on some really hard, stressful, dark days and I would not have graduated without her and the example she left for me. She was always there for me to help me through code, scary emails, presentations and thesis writing, and also changed my perspectives on math which I am eternally grateful for. Some of my favorite memories with Soph were our nights watching Little Women, going to an Arsenal game together!!!! and that Oscars night when she left before The Slap😂 I could not imagine my wedding day without her!
Bridesmaid
Kiera and I first met when I first came to Houston to visit Jacob's parents and we were both two awkward balls of anxiety 😂. But since then, we have bonded on similar views of the world and teasing Jacob whenever we get the chance like true sisters. One of my favorite memories with Kiera was when we went to a local cafe and just chatted for hours while we ate chips and queso. Her artistry and creativity inspire me and I am so lucky to be gaining a sister through Jacob. I can't wait for all the future family memories where we get to keep teasing everyone together!
Bridesmaid
Joce is my cousin but we grew up like sisters ❤️ It was really important to me to have family as part our wedding day and I can't imagine going through this day without her by my side. Joce inspires me every single day especially with what she has to navigate as a public school teacher in Texas. She is there everyday fighting for those kids and anyone who gets to meet her should consider themselves so lucky. We have so so so many amazing memories growing up together, and I hope we get to be lucky enough to pass our family's traditions on together.
Bridesmaid
Gera and I also grew up like sisters even though we are cousins ❤️ She's the funniest out of all of us and I am so happy to have her next to me on my big day. I admire how she is never afraid of being herself, of always putting her own special personal touch on things and how creative she is. One of my favorite memories has to be any of the holidays we all spent together either playing loteria or when she recited all the words to Grown Ups in spanish. Wouldn't have my wedding day any other way!
Best Man
The person in this group I have known the longest. We had mutual friends in middle school but did not like each other. I thought he was some weird skater kid and he thought I was an asshole with long hair. Thanks to 8th grade PE we had no choice but to become friends, and with playing soccer together in high school we became close friends still to this day. I am proud to consider him my brother and have him as a co-best man.
Best Man
The person I have known the second longest and my other best friend. We met thanks to Trevor in sophomore year of highschool. When we first met he continued along with a joke I was making and I knew we would get along perfectly. Before he transferred high schools he spent so many nights sleeping at my parents house that we practically adopted him. The 3 of us have been close ever since high school and continue to lean on each other to this day. I am proud to consider Daniel my brother and couldn't be happier to have him as a co-best man.
Groomsman
One of the first people I met in college thanks to both of us playing soccer, and living in the same dorm building. I wasn't the biggest fan of my roommate so I spent many a nights in Colton's room bothering him while he played CSGO. We got to room together sophomore year, and lived together off campus for 2 more years after that. I cherish our 4 years of nonsense and the very dumb conversations we had in school and since then.
Groomsman
The other person I met early in college thanks to soccer as well. Thanks to him living off campus he spent a lot of time hanging in the dorms with Colton and I. While he was useless at helping me with my spanish homework I am thankful for the amount of hours we spent playing Rocket League between classes. Also thankful for him helping fuel my Whataburger addiction by always being down to skip dinner and comms go grab a bite to eat.
Groomsman
Ana's younger brother who first met me when I had a concussion and then had to deal with me moving into his game room less than 6 months later thanks to COVID. When I stayed at their house we didn't get along much, but once I moved back out and we started playing warzone together we got much closer. Now I consider him one of my best friends and has comfortably fit in with my friend group. I always wanted a brother, and while I consider Trevor and Daniel my brothers, Ricardo will be one by law, which is pretty dope.
Groomsman
Ana met Todd through grad school but I really got to know him when he was kind enough to let us move in with his family for 2 weeks, after we got displaced due to a neighbors apartment fire. During that time I would work from his house and hang with his mom, and when Todd would return we would watch World Cup 2022 together. Then when he was looking to move not long after we had, he moved into the same apartment complex as us. We quickly began weekly movie double dates at each others apartments, thanks to Ana and Camille becoming quick friends. We would pick something to watch while we ordered in food, or cooked something and was always the highlight of our week. I couldn't be happier to have gotten one of my best friends from our time in New England.
Groomsman
When I first met the cousins I was a bit nervous about the impression I would make. I remember sitting in Ricardos room talking to Erik about our mutual love for GTA V and different ways we could customize cars. I also remember when I got to go visit their family in Mexico Erik coming with and getting to hang out with him during that vacation being a nice memory.
Groomsman
I remember my introduction to Manny, as being told that he is the mysterious cousin, with his truck at the time and finding that to be accurate along with him being very chill. He is definitely the mysterious cousin with few words to say but is also the funniest. It has been sweet getting to watch him and his family grow over the past few years. I'll always remember when he slept in our apartment living room (with the rest of the cousins visiting) and watching chef competition shows with him.
Flower Girl
Abby is the baby in the family! Though she is all grown up now :( I remember when Abby was born, everyone was so excited to have a baby girl in the family and oh man did we spoil her!!! I loved coming to visit and her sprinting up to say hi and playing dress up. The perfect flower girl!
Ring Bearer
Jenni is the younger sister I never had! She's my brother's girlfriend but feels like she has always been part of the family. Her heart is so big, it has been so special seeing her embrace my family with open arms and with so much love and care. It is because she leads with so much love that I can't think of a better person to present the symbol of Jacob and I's love, the rings, for our ceremony.
