For those who want to kick the weekend off early, we will have a hosted bar at The Yard! Seating will be outdoors (sheltered) and in a private area. This is one of our neighborhood bars and it has lots of games and activities for everyone! Transportation is not provided for this event. There is street parking available or there are parking lots nearby.

Ceremony

Attire: Cocktail. Show off your best midi/maxi dresses, and suits or jackets/slacks. Think elegant but nothing too fancy. Whatever makes you feel confident & comfortable! Note: The club does not allow denim of any kind.
The ceremony will be outdoors on grass (if weather allows!) so please keep that in mind when planning your outfit! There is plenty of parking on site at the yacht club if you’re driving yourself, and we’ll be providing a shuttle to those staying at The Westin.
Cocktail Hour & Reception
5:45 pm - 11:45 pm

Attire: Cocktail
The cocktail hour will take place on the terrace and the reception will be in the ballroom! If you’re taking a rideshare to get home at the end of the night, the driver will have to tell the gate agent that they are doing a pickup at Detroit Yacht Club. This is because the island closes to the public at 10pm, so they just need to specify that they’re picking riders up at an event.
