What is the dress code?
Answer
Our wedding will be formal and mostly outdoors! The venue, The Pavilion at Patriot's Point, is right behind the 18th hole of Patriot's Point Links. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be completely outdoors, and the reception is under the pavilion on the same lawn. Because it is on the water, it can get windy, so take that into consideration. Our wedding will incorporate sunset colors if you want to match the theme. :)
Question
What transportation should we take to the wedding venue?
Answer
The transportation you take to our venue depends on where you are staying and if you choose to rent a car. If you choose to book one of our recommended hotels, we will provide a shuttle to our venue. If you rent a car during your stay, our venue has free onsite parking. If you choose to ride share, we recommend scheduling them ahead of time, as they are not as readily available in Mount Pleasant, as they are in downtown Charleston.

Are kids allowed?

While we love your little ones, to give all our guests some relaxation, this will be a child-free event. We hope you'll enjoy a well-deserved night off!

Do we have to book a room under the room block?
Answer
Absolutely not! We chose the Cambria Hotel because it is close to our venue and just over the bridge from Charleston for those interested in going downtown during your visit. There are many more affordable options in Mount Pleasant specifically, as well as some incredible luxury hotels downtown.

What if we prefer to stay in downtown Charleston?
Answer
We love downtown, and hope you get the chance to visit while in town! We didn't create a room block downtown purely out of convenience, as our wedding venue is in Mount Pleasant. If you prefer to stay downtown, we have heard great things about: The Palmetto Hotel (French Quarter), Mills House (French Quarter), The Vendue (modern artsy in French Quarter), The Charleston Place (historic district), Hotel Bennett (city center), The Loutrel (French Quarter) and Zero George (upscale B&B in historic district).
