The Couple To Be

When Bri and Madi first met in 2015, they had chemistry. No, seriously, they had chemistry together - Gen Chem I to be exact! Since their fateful meeting on the UMN campus, they've been by each others side as partners, and it is with great joy that we invite you all to gather with them to celebrate their union. As a couple, Madi and Bri enjoy cooking, crafting, exploring, and being amateur "foodies" together. And of course, going to the Minnesota State Fair every year - it was their first date after all!

Madi

Spouse To Be | they/them

Madi works as an underwriter for Ameriprise Financial, and took a calculated risk assessment when they asked Bri out in 2016, and again when they asked Bri to marry them in 2023. Everybody say thank you Madi for making this relationship happen! A local Minnesotan, Madi knew all of the best spots to explore when them and Bri began their friendship turned romance. Some of Madi's favorite things about Bri is her creativity, her "commitment to the bit", and her type A ambitions (even if they're a little crazy sometimes). During the event, Madi would like to be referred to as the spouse and wife, and is comfortable with they/them pronouns. You may hear family, close friends, or even Bri refer to Madi with feminine terms (she/her, bride) and/or masculine terms (he/him, groom, husband, etc.), which is a-okay!

Bri

Bride To Be | she/her

Bri works as an anatomist and research/education coordinator for the UMN Medical School, and has been after Madi's anatomically correct heart since the moment they met. If you ask who fell first, it was Bri. She'll tell you the moment she locked eyes with Madi, she fell in love immediately. Luckily, she worked up the nerve to ask for their digits before they went their separate ways! Originally from Illinois, she moved to Minnesota in 2015, met Madi, and decided to stay. Some of Bri's favorite things about Madi are that they're a good cuddler, always patient and kind with her needs, and brutal honesty when they tell Bri "the joke wasn't funny so I didn't laugh". They keep me humble! During the event, Bri would like to be referred to as the bride and wife, and is comfortable with she/her pronouns. You may hear close friends, or even Madi, refer to Bri with masculine terms (he/him, groom, husband, etc.), which is a-okay!
