After George proposed and we were discussing the type of wedding we wanted to have, we settled on having a wedding more focused on celebrating with our family and friends rather than eloping (which was a possibility at one point!). We knew it had to be a couple of months out so we could have time to plan something. I knew I didn't want to get married in the spring and this fall was too soon and next fall and winter was too far away. So we were thinking about winter wedding dates. After discussing possible dates with my cousin Jess, she suggested February 22. George and I liked it because it would make our anniversary 2/22/2020, which would be easy to remember for both of us! Then, while mentioning this to my parents my dad says "2/22? That's your grandparents' anniversary!" And that was it. Knowing that the thought came from my cousin on my dad's side and the date was his parents anniversary and then come to find out from my Aunt Nancy that it's also my Great Grandma Eva's birth date, I knew that date was meant to be. In my heart I felt that my Grandma Betty was giving her nod of approval. Luckily, we were able to find a venue that worked for us that was available that day and the rest is history. We can't wait to celebrate with you all on 2/22/2020! -Natalie
