Scott first noticed Myrka at Fleming College in Peterborough, when their volleyball teams first played against each other. With only a shirt number for reference, Scott used some FBI skills to find Myrka's name and Instagram page. He gave her a follow but lacked the courage to contact her. Fast forward to January 28th of 2024, Fleming came to Ottawa for a long awaited rematch. At the end of that day, with the help of some teammates, Scott finally came up with a smooth pickup line for Myrka ; "Hey, I thought you played well today! Congrats on the win!" And just like that, a playful banter had begun. Their exchanges became quickly more serious when the both of them started bonding over their shared love for God. Their first date took place in Gatineau, where they had dinner, talked for hours and painted humbling portraits of each other. Since that very first date, both knew they were madly in love. After some amazing time together and some more difficult times in long distance, they learned how to better navigate through life as one. They got engaged on August 23rd of 2025. *** We are forever grateful to the Lord for aligning everything in our favor. We can't wait to see what He has in store for us.
