We’re getting married!

We woke up on Christmas morning and ate waffles and sausage for breakfast together before getting to the gifts. John insisted on recording the entire time we were unwrapping, claiming it was so that his parents who live in Hawaii could see us open the presents they had mailed to us. By the time I had forgotten he was recording and there was nothing left underneath the tree, he told me to close my eyes because he had one more surprise for me. While covering my eyes I heard him say, “Hey guess what.” I opened them and there was the ring! I was in completely shock and took probably a full minute to respond before saying yes. He told me I would never see it coming and he was definitely right!
