Matron of Honor
Myra and Ashley met their senior year of college through a random group assignment that sparked an unforgettable friendship. Working together at SIUE and bonding over Pretty Little Liars, they quickly became inseparable—finishing each other’s sentences, joking about their “shared brain,” taking trips, and reserving every Monday night for sushi and The Bachelor. Myra stood by Ashley on her big day, so when Myra got engaged, it was obvious that Ashley would be her matron of honor.
Best Man
Zac and Rod met in February 1994 when Zac would see his dad for the first time and become Rod's first child. Rod has been there for many of Zac's milestones in life, even being there while Zac proposed to Myra. Rod has also been a role model for Zac to look up to while growing up, and being someone that Zac has been able to call with any life advice or to even chat about their weeks. Rod being the best man was the obvious choice with how much he means to Zac.
Maid of Honor
Myra and Jessie met as tiny blondes in Pre-school (or Kindergarten we can't remember) and instantly became a best friends. From childhood adventures to teenage heart-to-hearts, laughs, cries, they grew up side by side and have created a lifetime of memories. Even with miles between them now, their bond has only grown stronger.
Groomsman
Lucas and Zac met for the first time in August 2002 when Lucas was born and would become Zac's one and only brother. Growing up together and being the older brother, Zac would look out for Lucas, lend a hand when he needed help, and show up to cheer Lucas on when he had a music event. Their bond is built on years of support, shared memories, and family. Zac couldn't be more proud to have Lucas as a groomsman.
Bridesmaid
Myra met Brooke through Ashley—originally just a trusted recommendation for the perfect blonde style—but their salon appointments soon became girls’ nights, weekend plans, and ultimately a genuine friendship filled with laughter, honest talks, and countless highlights in both hair and life. Brooke has become a sounding board, a cheerleader, and one of Myra’s closest friends.
Groomsman
Sam and Zac met through playing pool in a local league. Eventually they created several pool teams together over the years where they got to know each other, found other common hobbies, and become better friends. Sam always knows how to have a good laugh and doesn't mind the occasional roastings between Zac and him where it is all in good fun.
Bridesmaid
Myra met Rachel through Ashley (another successful friend match) and after a spontaneous Tuesday night invitation to play darts, where Myra impressed the group enough to become their permanent sub, they were bonded for life. Their friendship quickly grew through wine nights, sushi runs, cheese balls, weekly raffle dates, and Love Island marathons, but it was Rachel’s wisdom, steady presence, and constant support that made her one of Myra’s favorite people.
Groomsman
Dalton and Zac met through tennis where Zac volunteered to help coach. Over the years they began working out together, going out on the weekends, and watching/talking sports. Dalton has become one of those guys you can always count on whether it’s for a good time, showing up when it matters, or giving advice when you don't know the answer. He has been a great friend throughout the years and Zac was privileged to be a groomsman in Dalton's wedding.
Bridesmaid
Myra met Ryann through Rachel, and their friendship clicked somewhere between dancing (or crying) to NSYNC, swapping stories about their beloved grandparents, and a shared love of their anxious puppies. From murder podcasts to heart-to-hearts, they bonded over just about everything. They gave Orange Theory a shot — briefly — before realizing they were much happier listening to live music, attempting golf swings, and sharing book recs over drinks.
Groomsman
Zac and Chris met during Chris's birthday weekend in Nashville that he was asked by a friend to come with the day before. This would be the weekend Zac got the nickname "Spinny". Throughout the years Zac and Chris have enjoyed watching Illini football and basketball, going to bars, and going to gym. Chris is a trusting, caring, and loyal friend for Zac, even helping him move out of his apartment when Zac made the move to Champaign.
Bridesmaid
Myra and Olivia both grew up with brothers, never knowing what it was like to have a sister — until now. What started as a girl dating her brother, turned into something more: shared laughs, easy conversations, and a bond that just clicked. Now, they're not just family — they're built-in sisters, and excited for everything ahead!
Groomsman
Jesse and Zac me through Myra. At the start there wasn't a lot they knew about each other outside of a few interests. Then in 2024, Zac and Myra took a trip to California for Jesse's wedding where they got to know each other and build a better bond. Since then they have found an interest in Japanese Sumo wrestling, board games, and enjoyed the 5-star cooking that Jesse has provided. Jesse is a person that Zac has grown to respect with all his passions in life and enjoys being around when there is an opportunity.
Reader
Myra has always admired brilliance — and Meredith, her sister-in-law, is one of the smartest people she knows, easily rivaling her brother Jesse. But beyond her sharp mind, Meredith has been something even more meaningful: a cheerleader, a steady support, and a truly special part of Myra’s life. So when it came time to choose someone to share a reading during the ceremony, there was no question. Myra and Zac couldn’t imagine anyone more fitting to stand beside them, surrounded by the people they love, and speak words that reflect the heart of the day.
Officiant
Ben is the husband of Zac’s cousin Elizabeth and a meaningful part of our extended family. While we may only see him around important events, Ben has taken the time to truly get to know both Myra and Zac, and we’ve been grateful for his thoughtfulness and care. As a husband and father, Ben brings a grounded, intentional perspective on marriage—one rooted in commitment, patience, and love. We’re grateful for his insight, his sense of humor, and his willingness to take on the important (and mildly intimidating) task of officiating our ceremony.
