Our Story begins in the Hurricane Ticket Office, when Andrew was hired in March of 2015 to join the staff ... and his desk was just a few feet from mine. After a few weeks of working together and getting to know each other, lunches at the Rat and walks to Starbucks started becoming a regular occurrence. If there was ever a bad day at the office, we knew we could count on the other to go to Monty’s after work for much needed beers and curly fries baskets. Working together had so many memorable moments, from almost breaking a gas pump, eating grilled cheese sandwiches and brownie sundaes for lunch, throwing paper clips at each other...it became easy and fun to work so many events and hours. After three years in Athletics, I received a job offer at UM’s Medical Finance Office in Downtown Miami. I knew I would miss Athletics, but I didn’t realize I would miss the friendships and one person so much. After just two days on the new job, texting started becoming a daily occurrence and Monty’s happy hours picked back up. A few months later, a Friday night transformed a friendship into something special…we left our friends at Monty’s and decided to go watch a midnight showing of Wonder Woman. After the movie and night ended, I received a message asking if I wanted to go, to the Salty Donut and a Brewery, on a date! The rest is history! “True love is finding a soul mate in your best friend.”

We flew up to New Jersey for a quick family fun filled weekend. We started the weekend Thursday night by staying in Hoboken and going to a Mets game. The next morning, we had brunch plans with the Posen and Scavo families to celebrate Andrew’s birthday and Father’s Day weekend…or so I thought. We took a quick detour before brunch and stopped at Liberty State Park to see the view of the New York City skyline. As we were admiring the view, Andrew then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I couldn't believe what was happening. I was in shock but I said YES!! To my surprise, many of our family members were just down the pier at the Liberty House, ready for a celebratory brunch! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
