FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal attire is requested. Suits, cocktail or floor length dresses, and formal jumpsuits are all appropriate. Tuxes and gowns are welcome but not required. We recommend comfortable shoes for all guests since we will be second lining after the ceremony!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes. Otherwise, we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

Is the event adults-only?

Answer

Though we love your little ones, our wedding will be adults-only outside of immediate family. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation, including children.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that all guests be seated by 5:45pm. However, doors will open at Court of Two Sisters at 5:30pm should you wish to arrive sooner.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We see our ceremony as one of the most special moments of our lives and want everyone to be able to fully enjoy it with us. For this reason, we are opting for an "unplugged" ceremony and kindly ask that guests silence and keep their phones away during the ceremony. We promise to share the photos our photographer takes during our ceremony with all of our guests.

Question

Will there be any special New Orleans traditions?

Answer

We will be second lining after the reception. Along with a brass band, we will parade in the street to celebrate. Comfortable shoes are recommended! You can read about the history of second lines in New Orleans here: https://www.neworleans.com/things-to-do/music/history-and-traditions/second-lines/ We will also be having a New Orleans-style reception, meaning that instead of a seated dinner, guests will be able to enjoy passed items and food stations throughout the evening. Sit where you like or stay on your feet dancing all night!
