Daniel and Myleigh met in the most modern way possible.... on Hinge.... just two weeks after he moved to Houston. He had just finished his PhD and was starting his first “big boy” job as a psychologist in the Texas Medical Center. They had no idea that swiping right would lead to the most meaningful relationship of their lives. Their first date was at The Annie Café, a charming spot that would later become even more special! It’s also where the couple celebrated their engagement party. From the very beginning, something just clicked. They have pretty much been inseparable since that day. One of the couples favorite memories early on was when Daniel looked at Myleigh and said, very matter-of-factly, “You know you’re my girlfriend, right?” To which she immediately replied, “No, I’m not… you have to ask.” He took that challenge to heart, and he’s been rising to the occasion ever since. Fast forward to Charleston, where Daniel popped the big question... But not without a little chicanery. He convinced Myleigh they were both working a marathon (yes, working) and had to be up at 5 a.m. She went along with it, no questions asked, (okay maybe she asked 3,000 questions trying to poke holes in everything he said...) even though the night before they were also supposedly attending a "silent auction." Little did she know, all of it was part of an elaborate setup leading to the most beautiful surprise: The engagement.
