Mylah and Blaise first met in college at Florida A & M University in 2011. Mylah first caught Blaise's eye at a house party. He noticed she was standing off to the side and approached her to see why she wasn’t dancing. She responded sadly that she really wanted to but there was no place to safely store her purse. Chivalrously, Blaise came to Mylah’s rescue and said he would hold her purse if she would like to dance with him. Mylah thought this was adorable and they quickly became besties. Their bond grew unbreakable over the years as they matured and evolved into the individuals they are today. A few of Blaise and Mylah's favorite memories from their time together: Attending concerts and shows, ATV riding in Mexico, canoeing at the reservation, jet-skiing in Indy and Panama, walking on a frozen lake in Indy, being foodies literally everywhere, sightseeing during our overlay in Mexico City, the birth of our son, all of our beach trips, and so much more!
Blaise proposed to Mylah at a surprise birthday party that he planned for her. Mylah thought she was coming home to get ready to go out after painting sculptures with her friends. She was in total shock when she opened her front door and saw loved ones from near and far. While opening gifts towards the end of the party, Blaise handed Mylah a gift that had no name on it. She asked everyone in the room who it was from but no one claimed the gift. In the bag, there was a tiny piece of paper with a QR code on it. Blaise suggested she scan it with her phone. When she did, a picture of Blaise on one knee asking her to marry him popped up on the screen. Needless to say, Mylah said yes and they celebrated not only her birthday but their engagement as well.
