We had seen one another on different occasions for years but never had words or anything in passing. Then one evening, started conversing through Facebook messenger over what started as just returning a projector. After a while, he gave his number and she acted as if Facebook messenger was enough. The conversations got deeper and more frequent, she gave her number. Truly, the rest was history. We will never get rid of that projector.. as it is the reason we found our way to one another!

Months prior, he had told all of her close friends and family his plan. On July 4, 2023, she thought she was getting ready for a holiday bbq with family for her birthday, meanwhile he was setting up the final details for the proposal. When guests started arriving, she thought nothing. It was a little strange to see even Quita from Texas but she didn’t ask many questions. While standing outside to take a picture, her dad hands her a card, at the end it reads “now look to our girls for a surprise”. As Kelly Price “He Proposed” plays in the background, the girls walk around the house with shirts that read “Will” “You” “Marry” and behind them, walks him with his shirt saying “Me?” Caught by complete surprise, she said yes to the love of her life!
