We were on a beautiful vacation in Aruba, enjoying the sun, sand and sea. We had ventured to Aruba in years past and always passed by the tallest mountain in Aruba on our way from the airport. We had joked about how miserable it must be to hike it in this heat. We were talking and decided it would be fun to see a 360 view of Aruba for sunrise and hike up in the dark with headlamps and the cool of the night avoiding the sweltering excursion but still getting to achieve our goal. We ventured up the stoned pathway surpassing the shrubs as we hiked higher in elevation. Reaching the top all we could see were the lights of the homes starting to illuminate as the towns woke. As the sun came up, we took it all in, the open pasture, the sea, the windmills in the distance, the baseball fields, and all the different cactuses. Upon the sun cresting above the horizon, we took some photos together with the beautiful background and in the midst of the moment. Steve got down on one knee asking Mykenzy to marry him. Within seconds of saying yes, a baby goat appeared, bleating at us as it drank some water nearby, they took in the moment of excitement of spending the rest of their lives together and the view of the cute baby goat, couldn't have been any more perfect timing. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you at the Barn at Loon Cove!
