100/10 Recommend. Dinner's Ready is one of our favorite places for food not he Island. They make everything homemade and they are amazing ladies. The ladies at Dinner's Ready are the ones who offered to host the wedding. You will not be disappointed, no matter what you order! Wonderful meals with a local flair, prepared daily in OUR kitchen, enjoyed daily in YOUR home (or your home away from home)! Always homemade...always delicious!
The Hippie Fish is the perfect first, second, third, and twentieth stop during your Dauphin Island trip. Providing quality hippie boutique clothing. A great place for souvenirs!
Beach planet is a fun and touristy store. This is where you can get souvenirs and clothes at a great price. They also have some beach essentials you may need. Beach Planet also does golf cart rentals for a different way to get around the Island.
A wide variety of food here with outdoor seating. Some of our favorite things to get here are the pulled pork sandwich and fried corn nuggets.
Amazing waffles, hot and iced coffee, milkshakes, smoothies, fresh fruit bowls, smoothie bowls, and vanilla ice cream. (The hours are strange, so make sure you check before going!)
I know what you are THINKING. . . Isn’t that a gas station? Yes, yes it is, BUT they have the best chicken strips, fries, pizza, and their breakfast isn’t half bad either! DEFINITELY a must-try when on the Island!
This place is huge. It is part grocery store, part fishing supplies, part tourist items, and just about anything else you may need. (However, it is pretty pricey, so we try to get all essentials before we get on the island)
This Sea Lab has been updated since the last time I went, but it is a fun experience with hands-on things to do including: Touching under water discoveries, petting sting rays, etc.
This is a beautiful historic place to visit not he Island. This was a crucial site during the Civil War and is now considered one of the more historic and endangered sites in America.
This place is more than just a welcome center. There is a museum with history about the Island, a library with books and games that you can rent out, and a little gift shop. The ladies here are more than welcoming and will be glad to see anyone come in to say "hello!"
Skinners is a MUST HAVE on the island. Here you can pick any of the seafood freshly caught and have them steam it for you right there. They have great options to choose from. This is not a restaurant, so whatever you get, you take home or somewhere else to eat.
The Clinic is a great spot for any small or minor incidents or replenishing/hydrating your body from the heat. Their services are: Acute Care, IV Vitamin and Hydration Therapy, B12 & MIC B12 Injections, Salt Halo-therapy.
