We met in August 2015 the day before the Warped Tour in Portland. We met up at Voodoo Donuts and had a true Portland Tourist Day. We went to Powell's Books and got lunch at the food carts. Meeting someone we hardly knew in Downtown Portland was very out of character for both of us, but we knew that if we didn't take this leap now we might have always regretted it. These small little things are what lead to the blossoming of our relationship. After a few months of non-stop texting, hours-long calls, and traveling back and forth from one end of the state to the other it was time to ask a very important question: When is the best time to wear a striped sweater? The answer: All the Time. It was at that moment we knew this was the beginning of a new relationship with so much in store.

You know BTS? In October 2021 we scored second-row VIP tickets to BTS Permission to Dance LA in November. We were beyond excited as BTS is one of our favorite shared music groups. With the tickets secured, the flights bought, and the rooms booked, and, little to my knowledge the Ring bought, it was finally time to live our (well my) best day ever. We packed our concert bags, wore our best BTS gear, and secured Lil' RJ, and were out the door to enjoy all that a BTS Concert Day had to offer. While perusing the venue we met two other ARMY who happened to be a row in front of us and hung out with them for the rest of the afternoon. After hanging out in the LA sun for a few hours it was time to enter the stadium for Gold Soundcheck. One rule was that we couldn't have our phones out but Kevin insisted that he show me something. He pulled up a video on his phone of the LA Beast, one of our favorite YouTubers, coincidently also named Kevin. The LA Beast was saying he was excited that we were in LA together at the BTS concert. Then he turned the mic over to Kevin who, when I looked over was one knee, with the most beautiful ring. Of course, I said yes. The girls we had met earlier were so excited for us as well as the other ARMY around us. Then it was time to see BTS as a newly engaged couple. It truly couldn't have been a more perfect proposal. And props to Kevin for getting the ring past me at every turn. Through TSA, into his CLEAR bag for the venue, and through concert security. "I was going to ask you soon, I had the ring but you gave me the place." -Kevin
