Alijah & Myka are college sweethearts. They met in 2020 right before the pandemic. The two amongst some of their other friends used to hang out, study, sing, and eat dinners together. As they grew closer in friendship together they just clicked and knew there might be more. Myka remembers the first time she met Alijah and thought, "he's going to be my best friend." She had no idea the beautiful gift God was giving her in knowing and loving him. His tenderheartedness, selflessness, and gentleness are things that haven't changed since the first moment she fell in love with him. A man that loves God first with all of his heart, and loves his neighbor as himself, just like God commands us. A beautiful example to follow. AJ remembers the first feeling he felt when he met Myka. There was something different about her. Her, gentleness, intentionality, and mystery intrigued him to get to know the girl that stood out. The subtle confidence with nothing to prove to anyone but Jesus, the beauty that lit up any room, and the voice of an angel. Someone who loves others fiercely, shows the love of Christ everyday, and is a rock to everyone around her. They began dating in February of 2020. They became the couple in the friend group everyone knew would stick together. They bonded over their love for family and music. They started to attend the same church together, began serving on their Worship Arts team, and continue to do so now. They connected over their love and passion for worship through the expression of music. God is the center of their relationship that grounds them together and he has continued to make them stronger. Over the past 5 years, the Lord has shown them grace, compassion, and love through ministry and through each other. Now the time has finally come for them to join with him in holy matrimony.
