Myia and Eddie first met back 2010-2011 in high school. They hung around the same group of friends but were never close friends themselves. Some how they gave each other their snapchats in high school and followed each other for several years keeping up with each other's adventures. One day in April of 2022 Myia noticed Eddie had gone to a Mystery Skulls concert, which happens to be a band that she likes. She messaged him and complained that he never invited her to the concert even though she liked the band as well. He replied back that he never knew she liked the band and actually had an extra ticket if he had known he would have invited her. Little did they know that this would start the spark of their relationship. They continued to speak to each other frequently and finally met again after so many years in early May of 2022. Later that May, Eddie had gotten hurt and Myia took care of him when he needed it the most and she was worried sick for him. In that moment of care and kindness Eddie knew Myia was the one for him. Myia took some time due to the countless heartbreaks but eventually her heart opened up to him. They became a couple in late June of 2022 and had to say some tender goodbyes in early August of 2022 as Eddie headed off to Houston for his flight attendant training for United Airlines. Myia supported him from California for the 7 weeks he was gone but it proved their relationship was unshakable. Even though they were so far from each other they did not waver on their love and loyalty to each other and it strengthened their relationship even more. They reunited in a tender embrace in late September of 2022 when his training was over. They would have to spend time apart since Eddie was based in Denver Colorado but would come home to California to see her. In February of 2023, Eddie took Myia on a trip to Hawaii since she dreamed of going and he had planned to propose to her, little did she know that. The whole flight to Hawaii and even their first day in Hawaii Myia joked that "Hawaii would be a great place to propose!" and Eddie had to play it cool until the final moments. He had taken her to a bar called Dukes and they were seated next to the stage along the beach side. The night air was warm yet cool at the same time with the ocean and Hawaiian music playing in the back ground. Eddie had excused himself, to prepare for the proposal with the staff, and Myia unknowingly sat happily with her drink enjoying the view. When he had returned they started to talk with each other when Eddie started the proposal. He asked if she liked his family and such, and she replied that she loved his family and enjoyed being around them. She could tell he was nervous which in turn made her nervous. He then knelt down with the ring and asked her if she would like to be apart of his family. She was shocked. Myia could not believe her eyes that he would like her to be his wife and join his family. She asked "Seriously?" since she still couldn't believe it. She nodded and said "Yes!" with tears in her eyes and hugged and kissed him. In May of 2023, Myia and Eddie moved in together in Denver Colorado so she could be close to him and so they can start their lives together. Their bond has been strong through the ups and downs but never wavering. Their relationship has been put to the test several times and they have remained strong. Their love for one another will continue grow stronger as they take their next steps into their marriage and what may come after. Thank you for reading our story.
