This is one of our new favorite places -- like ever. This tavern was operating as a stagecoach stop in the late 1800's and now serves traditional American fare (known for their tri tip) and has a full bar. It's tucked away in the Santa Barbara mountains off highway 154 on your way to Santa Ynez and is definitely worth the stop.
You'll be able to try their pizza at our welcome party, but if you're in need of lunch any other time while you're in the area, definitely give their sandwiches a try! Ian's favorite is the beef tongue pastrami reuben (no surprise there). It can get busy, but it's always worth the wait.
There are TONS of wine tasting rooms in downtown Los Olivos and we haven't even scratched the surface yet, but this is one of our favorites so far. We especially like their Pinot Noir and Sparkling Wine. They have a cute outdoor patio and it's never too crowded.
