When they say polar opposites attract they weren't kidding. I'm a little bit disney, christmas & country.... who am I kidding, I am very disney, christmas & country lol. He is heavy metal, halloween & scary movies. We could not be more opposite than what we are.
We met at work. He worked overnights and eventually came to day shift. We would chat at work but that would be about it. I'm not one to date where I work and had no intentions of starting (yes I know lol). He asked one day if I wanted to go hang out, get some drinks and chat. I thought, no harm in a couple of co-workers having some drinks and talking.... little did I know his actual intentions lol. We hung out for a few months and then it finally clicked that while I thought we were hanging out as friends he was viewing this differently. We became official February 11, 2017 and have had an amazing support system of friends & family while we navigated this new relationship.
With my mom he planned a proposal of my dreams. On his birthday we went to disney (his idea, not mine) and spent the day going on rides. An old friend had plans to meet up with us but as usual she was running late. She decided we should do pics together and picked the photographer closest to Cinderella's castle. After a couple pics they both walk away but tell me to wait. I have no idea they were getting his phone ready to record the proposal. He turned around, walked toward me and dropped to one knee. If I remember correctly the first words out of my mouth was "What are you doing?" lol. He pulls out the ring and I briefly remember calling him a brat lol and I'm not even sure he had asked me yet to marry him and I was already saying yes. It was an amazing moment.
