There are so many things to do around Denver and Golden. Take advantage of the city and the natural beauty all around! Even at a mile high, Denver itself is pretty flat. The western suburbs like Golden, Boulder, Morrison and others are right at the edge of the mountains. Just remember, the farther west you go the deeper into the Rocky Mountains you’ll be. What looks close on a map might be a long drive around the peaks.

Golden, CO

Such a cute town with historic downtown, pubs, restaurants, and shopping. Original home to Coors Brewing (brewery tours available). Also includes walking trails around town. Lookout Mountain overlooks Golden with a scenic drive and walking trails there too.

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

Iconic outdoor amphitheater only 15 minutes from Golden. Red Rocks has hosted the biggest names in music since the 1930s. Walking trails, a museum and trading post shop make this a place to go even if there is no concert.

Boulder

~30 minutes drive from Golden. Great college town with historic downtown, pubs, restaurants, and shopping.
