Abby and John met in 2017 while working at The KidsLink School, a school for children and young adults with autism. Abby took interest in John in the lunchroom one day when she heard he was from Connecticut. “Why on Earth did you move back to Ohio?!”, she asked. Little did they both know at the time, moving back to Ohio was what would lead them to each other.

Fast forward to 2018… Abby and John were working in the same classroom, supporting each other and growing their friendship stronger by the day… Before they knew it, their friendship organically blossomed into something beautiful, and they both knew they had found the one. Abby became a Cleveland Browns fan, John turned into a cat daddy. They spent their days hiking, traveling, going to Browns games, attending many Lotus concerts, and forming relationships with each other’s friends and family. They became each other’s home.

It was a normal Saturday morning. Abby and John took the kitties to the vet and then decided to get lunch at Nuevo on E 9th Pier in Downtown Cleveland. With rain coming in, they decided to walk the nearby park before heading into the restaurant. While overlooking the Cleveland skyline, John got down on one knee and asked Abby to be his lifetime partner. Saying yes was the easiest decision Abby has ever made. After returning home, friends were there waiting to celebrate. They had officially entered their engagement era!

We are so excited to share this special moment with all of you. Your unwavering love and support over the last six years has helped us grow the strong relationship we have today.
