Keny and Mya originally met in the spring of 2018 during a freshman year college writing class at the University of Scranton. Despite seeing each other twice a week in class, Keny and Mya were not interested in each other at the time. It would be a few years before the two would cross paths again. Flash forward to 2020. Keny and Mya were at the same college party. As Mya was dancing, Keny was hanging with his friends across the room. The two met eyes throughout the night but never talked. After winter break, Keny and Mya would find themselves passing each other randomly on campus when in the past they hardly saw each other. Shortly after, Keny invited Mya to his house party where the two talked the whole night. In his true gentleman fashion, Keny gave his sweatshirt to Mya for the walk home. Before Keny left for the night, Mya hugged and told Keny that she liked him. She was so nervous, but Keny felt the same way! After about a week of dating, Covid-19 hit, separating them. Thanks to Facetime and texting, Keny and Mya continued to grow their relationship with MANY online dates and late night chats. Oftentimes, the two would talk all night long leading to one of them falling asleep. However, once reunited in person, the two became inseparable! Following college graduation, Keny and Mya moved into an apartment in Scranton. Mya was working as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, while Keny was working at a local robot tech company as a Software Engineer and getting his Masters. The two enjoyed local hikes, trips to Lakeland Orchard, nights out at the bar, and chill evenings on the couch. But the apartment was too quiet and with their love for dogs, the sound of pawprints soon filled their rooms. The two adopted a pomsky, Appa, from a local shelter. Keny and Mya continued to strengthen and mature in their relationship and love for each other. The two bought a house in 2022 in Exeter, PA. With laughter, love, and entertaining conversations, their house quickly became a home filled with so many wonderful memories! While Mya was away at Ocean City, Maryland, on a trip with her family, Keny surprised her by proposing to her on the beach at sunset in August of 2025! Mya was shocked as Keny was supposed to be on a work trip. Keny had fake plane tickets, Avoca airport as his location, and even a second phone that he was using to talk with Mya’s sister throughout the day. Keny thought of it all! The whole proposal was beyond beautiful and, obviously, Mya said yes! We're very excited to celebrate our wedding with our family and friends! We can't wait to start this next chapter of our lives as a married couple! Thank you all for being a part of it!
