Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at exactly 10:30 am. Please give yourself enough time to arrive, explore the venue, and find a seat. We recommend arriving no later than 10:15 am.

Is this an indoor or outdoor event?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors at the Riverhouse Ceremonial Patio and Terrace. For cocktail hour, guests can dine and drink within the lobby atrium, or explore the terrace if weather permits. The reception will follow inside the Goodspeed Ballroom.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, we encourage everyone to dress in cocktail attire for the wedding. For the women, we recommend cocktail dresses, midi dresses, or pantsuits. Please refrain from wearing light colored dresses such as white, ivory, cream or that may appear white in photos. For the men, we recommend suits and ties or dress shirts with slacks. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Can we bring our child to the wedding?

No, this is an adults only wedding.

Will there be shuttles?

Answer

There will be a shuttle for those guests staying at The Inn at Middletown. The shuttle departs at 9:30 am, sharp. The shuttle will also bring guests back to the Inn after the wedding.

Will either of you be taking the other’s last name?

Answer

Actually, we are choosing to hyphenate. Get ready to call us the Muttart-Kneppers!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Our afterparty will be taking place at Mezzo Grille, 106 Court St, Middletown, CT. The afterparty will begin at 5pm.

Is this a Halloween themed wedding?

Answer

We know you may be thinking it; however, this is a formal wedding. We love the holiday, and our wedding day is close to it, but we’ll be keeping the scary decorations at home.
