So far we are planning to continue with our wedding. As much as we would LOVE to have everyone there, we had to make the difficult decision to cut our guest list. This decision had to be made because of the pandemic and the limited space of our venue. We will provide our ceremony live on a virtual platform. We will provide further details when it is closer to the wedding. To those guests who are invited to wedding and you are not comfortable coming because of Covid-19, we understand. You are more than welcome to attend our ceremony virtually!
We first met through OKCupid. I swiped right and then Theo messaged me. We talked through the messenger for 3 days before moving to texting. We had our first date on March 31st at a barcade called 16Bit. Our date started at 5pm and ended at 2am. We were there for 9 hours! From there, we went back and forth between Reynoldsburg and Upper Arlington. When Theo's lease was up, we moved in together and combined our fur babies to create our family of 2 cats and a dog. Thanks to peer pressure from our friends, we adopted a puppy to even the odds. 2 cats and 2 dogs. We have lived a lot in a little time.
Theo told me that we would be taking couple pictures to help promote our friend's photography website (which wasn't the first time we have done it). Theo also decided that we would take the pictures at Highbanks Metro Park because there was a "waterfall after you go down some wooden stairs". To start our trail to the waterfall, we turned right and ended up hiking for a good 45 minutes. We did not end up finding the waterfall, so we settled on a small stream under a bridge. We started taking some pictures and then I was cued to look in a direction as our friend adjusted the lighting for her new camera. Then Theo asked me to turn around and there he was down on one knee with a ring box popped open! And then he popped the question! The real kicker is, if we had turned left, we only needed to do a 15 minute walk to get to the location!
We are excited for this day to come! We have spent a little over two years to plan for this wedding the way that we liked (although Covid has changed our plans a bit). We look forward to sharing this special day with our family and friends. It's a backyard wedding, not in our backyard!
