MJ and I ​first met and ​had our first date at a small cafe in ​Elkridge​, Maryland but it​ actually all started with a DM on groupme​! We both attended the same church but went to different campuses. Our church has different types of social gatherings called “groups”. We both just so happened to be in the same “singles night group”. The funny thing about it is I attended only one of the bi-weekly meetings and for some reason I didn't see MJ and he also didn’t see me even ​though we were both there.​ MJ, being very social and outgoing, was very popular amongst the group, always having something to say or debate about lol. In my head I’m like ​"who is this guy and why is he always debating with everyone​?​" One day​, I decided to check my groupme messages and I saw a “Hi, how are you doing?” message on a calm Friday evening. Guess who it was?​! Yes, it was Mr.Outgoing​ (lol). I decided to respond ​to him and he asked me out on a breakfast date and I said yes. The date went great ​(obviously because we've been inseparable ever since​). One of the best things about MJ is that he understands me without me having to say too many words. He is truly a prayer partner, protector and friend; all the things God knew I needed! Now we are tying the knot ​to spend the rest of our li​ves together​!​ We ​c​an't wait to celebrate our special day with you all!

It all started with a DM, you know how that goes. It’s either the DM fails or succeeds. By God grace It was a success. And MJ never misses. Prior to said DM, we both attended the same church, but different campuses, therefore we never saw each other. We attended multiple same church events, AND WE STILL NEVER SAW EACH OTHER. That Friday night, MJ went to that event with a mission, to see that beautiful girl with the Haitian flag on her profile in the group chat that’s been hiding. Di brethren got there and he didn’t see her. He decided to slide in her DM saying “epsss ti Cherie” and she responded in less than 10 seconds. MJ asked Stecie how come you’re not at this event tonight because I came here for you. Stecie responded saying she just got home from work and she was tired. Soon they exchanged numbers that led to a Facetime call. MJ asked her out on a date after church. After the first date, Stecie and MJ became inseparable and MJ eventually realized that Stecie was the girl he saw in his dream. Now we are tying the knot to spend the rest of our life together and we would love to celebrate our special day with you all.
