Our story begins long before we even knew it was a story. We had known each other forever the kind of “forever” where you grow up seeing the same faces, celebrating the same summers, and assuming life will always keep you in the same orbit. But in the summer of 2017, something shifted. We crossed paths again, and suddenly those two familiar faces felt… different. Brighter. More interesting. Maybe even meant to be. What started as countless conversations and laughs turned into a friendship so strong that everyone around us already knew what we were about to discover: that we were made for each other. Before we realized it ourselves, our “best friend” phase naturally melted into something deeper, sweeter, and infinitely more exciting; our relationship. Then came the challenge that none of us had on our bingo card: a very long-distance love story between Madrid and Tenerife. While she was in Madrid studying medicine and he was in Tenerife, we learned to love through airports, video calls, countdowns, and the magic of reunions. We thought the distance would be the hardest part… but somehow it became one of our greatest strengths. It pushed us, shaped us, and gifted us countless adventures in the many trips we made to close the gap, even just for a weekend. And after years of growing together; across islands, cities, and time zones, 2024 gave us the moment we had been dreaming of. In the enchanting city of Venice, surrounded by canals, bridges, and the soft glow of Italian sunsets, he asked the question that would change everything. And she said yes (probably before he even finished asking). And now, here we are writing the next chapter of a story that started simply because two people fell in love… and never stopped choosing each other.
