Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you!

Places to Eat & Drink

Hubbard Grille

793 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43215

Luke and Stephanie had their first date here! It was a favorite of Luke's before that, and the couple has shared many meals here since. Hubbard Grille is a local restaurant serving modern American food. We recommend the brussels sprout, Hubbard burger, and the goat cheese ravioli.

High Bank Distillery Co

1051 Goodale Boulevard, Columbus, OH 43212

Just a short walk from their home, High Bank Distillery is the couple's go-to for dinner & drinks. Their dog loves hanging on the patio with them too! Named the Best Cocktails in Columbus for the last 5 years, we highly recommend trying their Rosé Cooler or End of Anxiety cocktails, and their food is just as good.

North Market

59 Spruce Street, Columbus, OH 43215

North Market is a 148-year-old vibrant public market made up of Ohio’s best independent merchants, farmers, and makers. Consistently ranked as one of the top public markets in the country, North Market provides an authentic Columbus, Ohio experience that highlights the diversity and vibrancy of our community. Eat, drink, shop, and enjoy the best of what Columbus has to offer.

Emmett's Cafe

2571 Neil Avenue, Columbus, OH 43202

Emmett's Cafe is a go-to for coffee, breakfast & lunch. We highly recommend getting tots with your meal, and trying their specialty drinks. Stephanie's favorite is the cold brew & mint cream.

The Lox Bagel Shop

772 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43215

Another of the couple's go-to places for breakfast and lunch!

One Line Coffee-Short North

745 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43215

Just across the street from Lox Bagel Shop is one of Luke and Stephanie's favorite coffee shops in Columbus, One Line.

Parable

149 South High Street, Columbus, OH 43215

Café by day, bar by night. Parable is an intentional café centering its employees and community; they are a gratuity free cafe, aiming to create thoughtful and creative offerings, including artisanal coffee, pastries, natural wine, and craft cocktails.

Marcella's

615 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43215

Marcella’s is a bustling burst of Italian flavor and energy. The lively atmosphere is perfect for sharing a meal with friends or family, or for a late night snack. The dynamic bar provides a vibrant venue which Stephanie and Luke have enjoyed together and separately for many years.

Things to See & Do

Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

1777 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43203

As a bona fide plant lover, this is one of Stephanie's favorite places to visit in Columbus. Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is Central Ohio’s premier botanical garden and home to the iconic John F. Wolfe Palm House which dates back to 1895. The visitor experience spans about 13-acres and is comprised of the Conservatory building, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children’s Garden and the Grand Mallway. The experience consists of botanical biomes, lush gardens, special horticulture and art exhibitions.

A&R Music Bar

391 Neil Avenue, Columbus, OH 43215

Catch a show where Luke and Stephanie first hit it off. We love that the venue showcases local artists and big names alike - Luke's even played here before! The huge patio, full service bar, cool concert memorabilia, and great location in the entertainment neighborhood of the Arena District add to the great feel of this venue.

Rumba Café

2507 Summit Street, Columbus, OH 43202

Luke highly recommends checking out Rumba Café for a taste of the local music scene. It's also his most played at venue. The Hoo Doo Soul Band is a Sunday night staple if you're still in town.

The Ohio State University

Columbus, OH

Both Luke and Stephanie are alumni of Ohio State, and Stephanie loves working here. As one of the largest universities in the country, there's lots to see and do on campus!

Short North Arts District

Columbus, OH

Just a short walk north of the recommended hotels, the Short North Arts District is known as the art and soul of Columbus. The culturally rich area is a pioneer in the urban revitalization of Central Ohio. Visitors are invited to explore our vibrant neighborhood known for its wide variety of amazing art, dining, nightlife, fashion, home décor, and unique gifts.
