Chicago Botanic Garden
This is a gorgeous garden to visit if you are new to visiting Lake County! We have loved spending time with friends and family there, exploring all of the beautiful nature there.
The Parched Pug
This is one of Nathan & Lexi's common hangout spots with friends. They have board games, snacks/food, coffee, drinks, social events (karaoke, trivia, line dancing) & more.
Snakes & Lattes Chicago
This is one of our favorite board game cafe's if you go to visit Chicago. The board game vault is designed inside an old bank vault, with staff who can help you learn the games as you sip on a delicious latte.
Tala Coffee Roasters - Libertyville Cafe
We first met on the opening day at this location of Tala. You are guaranteed to get a wonderful cup of coffee and enjoy views of beautiful plants and see where our phone number napkin exchange all began (shout out to Amber!).
La Michoacana Premium - Round Lake
We had our first date at this delicious ice cream and sorbet shop. See where it all began! (and of course, many more dates since then). If you are looking for a closer location, there is another one in Mundelein, IL!
Miller Point Part & McHenry Riverwalk Shoppes
Nathan proposed to Lexi on the dock at Miller Point, where he also asked her to be his girlfriend. It is a beautiful place for walks, picnics, and river views, as well some local shops nearby!
Historic Downtown Long Grove
Close to the venue and a great place to shop and/or grab a bite to eat!
Independence Grove Forest Preserve
A wonderful place to walk and enjoy nature!

Summer Moon Coffee
Another of our favorite locations for coffee!
Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary
A neat park on Lake Michigan, we saw snowy owls, but in June you have a good chance of seeing piping plovers!
