Traveling to Italy

Florence Airport, Peretola or Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport are the two closest international airports to Villa La Selva. Florence Airport is 1.5 hours away and Bologna 2.5. For more economical options, we recommend flying into Rome or Milan and taking a train to Florence, the ride is magical. Arriving a day or two early and spending time in Florence or Rome are fabulous options. Please reach out to us for any travel related questions!

Getting to Villa La Selva

We will be coordinating a shuttle service from a to-be-determined site in Florence to the villa on July 4th for guests flying or training in. Please send us travel plans so that we can coordinate proper timing. The easiest way to get to La Selva is by car from Florence Airport or from Florence main train station (Firenze Santa Maria Novella). The drive is a little over an hour. Taxi is an option but can be costly. Fly into Roma Fiumicino Airport, then train to Rome city center (30 min) from there, train to Florence (1.5 hour). Fly into Milan Malpensa Airport, then train to Milan city center (50 min) from there, train to Florence (2 hours). Fly into Bologna Airport, take a shuttle from the airport to Bologna Train Station (7 min) and then train from Bologna city Center to Florence (35 min). For those renting cars from the airport: Rome Fiumicino Airport to Villa la Selva: 2.5 hours Milano Malpensa Airport to Villa la Selva: 4.5 hours Bologna Airport to Villa la Selva: 2 hours
