They met through mutual friends (thank you Landry & Kennedy) right before COVID. The first time they met in person, Andrew was a couple beers deep because he was so nervous. While Kate was sober and only staying for an hour because she had an interview the next day. They spent that full hour only talking to each other about everything from shoes they want to where they want to end up in life. Even though Kate walked in thinking nothing would come out of it, she told her friend before she left that she could she herself dating Andrew!

Our friends invited us to Charleston for the weekend to come see their new town. On Saturday, we were getting ready for dinner when their friends suggested going to a "pop-up bar" in a park. Kate started getting ready and noticed Andrew not talking and drinking whiskey nervously, so her stomach was tied in knots. They arrived to the park and pulled up to Mary Murray Drive. They walked up to this historic mossy tree where it was covered with flowers and candles. Andrew got on one knee with teary eyes and before he could finish Kate shouted YES! We are so excited to celebrate this with you!
