Yes! We got married on August 15, 2020. It was a small ceremony officiated by Anna's sister, Leah, with just a handful of friends who live in Colorado. Call our 2022 event what you want - a wedding, a reception, a two year anniversary, a vow renewal - we're just excited to celebrate with you all!
Out of respect for the health and wellbeing of our guests and our greater community, we request that you only join us for our celebration if you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Additionally, if you feel sick as the event approaches, we ask that you test accordingly and know that we will find time to celebrate together in the future! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Semi-formal attire
Prepare for mountain weather which can change unexpectedly. August should be mild and dry but you never know when the winds can pick up + it can get chilly in the evening.
Both! Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will be held indoors.
Shuttles will be running routes to Comfort Suites and loops around Evergreen before the ceremony and after the reception. More details to come about the shuttle times & locations. Ubers/Lyfts are extremely limited in the area and we do not encourage our guests to rely on them to get around town.
There will be a shuttle service provided to take you to and from the ceremony/reception at Evergreen Lake House. Evergreen Lake hosts non-motorized boating & has nearby pedestrian trails which will all be open to the public during our ceremony and reception. A small number of parking spaces will be reserved for our guests but the bulk of the parking lot is for public use.
While we love & absolutely adore your children and acknowledge they are an important part of our community, our wedding ceremony & reception are going to be adults-only with the exception of a couple loved ones with newborns. We would love if your kids joined the welcome event on Friday evening!
Evergreen is nestled in the mountains at 7,200ft in elevation. 2,000ft higher than Denver. People have different susceptibilities to altitude sickness. Symptoms can include headache, fatigue, stomach illness, dizziness & sleep disturbance. Drink as much water as possible to prepare for the trip and continue to drink water throughout. Alcohol will affect you much more quickly.
