Getting to and from the venue

It is required that everyone have or books transport to get to and from the venue ahead of the 4th. Allerton Castle provides a list of taxi operators which you can book with (see below). If you are staying somewhere further away (such as York), you will probably be able to take a train to a nearby town (such as Knaresborough) before taking a taxi.

Where to stay nearby

There are several small towns nearby Allerton Castle: Boroughbridge, Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon, and Wetherby. You can get a taxi from any of these towns through one of Allerton Castle's recommended taxi companies. York is the nearest city to Allerton Castle. It has numerous restaurants and bars, historic sites such as it's famous cathedral, and good public transport links. If you want to do a bit of tourism whilst you are around for our civil partnership, then York is the place to stay. You will need to get a train and then a taxi to get to Allerton Castle.
