If you don't know, yes, we met on a dating app. We owe it all to the app that's "designed to be deleted" aka Hinge. I'll spare you the details (like how we matched in only a few minutes) and say I think we both knew early on that this was a special relationship. Fast forward 2.5 years to the engagement... We were headed to this little town called Hot Springs for a long mountain weekend to celebrate my upcoming birthday. In the back of my mind I slightly suspected Bryan might highjack this trip to propose but my friend (shoutout Courtney) convinced me it surely wouldn't be happening. I believed her. The whole weekend went by without any inkling it might happen. We packed up the car, checked out of the Airbnb, and headed up to Max Patch for a hike before heading home. I figured it DEFINITELY wasn't happening at this rate. I brought my Polaroid camera on the hike so when we got up to the summit I asked if Bryan would take a photo of me and Ari (our dog). Ari was not cooperating to sit for me so once I finally got her situated I looked up at Bryan and he was holding the ring out in front of the camera, asked me to marry him, and snapped a photo of my completely shocked face (photo below for reference). After a moment of "is this for real????" I said YES and HERE WE ARE!!!
