Jeff and Kate crossed paths many times while attending JMU but never formally met until years after graduating when Jeff hosted a birthday party for a mutual friend at his house. Later that night, the two attended a country music concert with friends and bonded over their shared hatred of country music (it would have made a good country song honestly).

Fast forward three-ish years later, Jeff took Kate to her favorite building in the city under the guise of meeting up with friends and going to dinner. Most of the building was closed for construction but Kate being Kate, and not knowing what was to come, found an unlocked door and led friends inside. While looking around, Jeff called out to Kate who turned to find him on one knee to which she said, "are you sure!?" followed by, "YES!"

We planned the perfect wedding, sent out the invites and got in the best shape of our lives. We were ready, we thought we planned for everything. The world said, lol nah dude. So we quarantined for a year plus, and planned a MUCH better wedding and now, finally, we are so excited to see you all in DC.
