This is where Brian proposed to Ally and is one of Ally's favorite places in the city. We recommend taking the Boston Haborwalk here for views of the harbor.
One of our favorite places to take friends and family when they visit! Faneuil Hall was a key meeting place during the American Revolution. It is Ally's favorite place to buy Boston souvenirs. Quincy Market is a historic marketplace where goods from Boston Harbor were traded. Today, it's a fun place to grab a quick meal from a food stall. The oldest bar in America, Bell in Hand Tavern, is also a short walk away.
Boston Common is a must-see in the center of the city and is the oldest public park in the United States. The Public Garden is home to the Make Way for Ducklings statues, the iconic swan boats, and the famous George Washington statue. Ally and Brian walk past these sites on their commute to work.
The North End is Boston's Italian neighborhood with authentic Italian restaurants and historic landmarks such as Old North Church and Paul Revere's house. Boston has a debate for the best cannoli at either Mike's Pastry or Modern Pastry. We prefer Mike's - let us know what you think!
The Boston Public Library is a grand, historic building with beautiful art and architecture. Before they met, Brian and Ally both independently studied here to prepare for their CPA exams.
A scenic walk along the Charles River with views of the Boston skyline, Cambridge, and the building where we first lived together!
At the end of the Freedom Trail just outside of Boston in Charlestown you can find these two historic landmarks. There is a great view of the city from the base of the Bunker Hill monument but if you're feeling up to it, you can walk up the 294 stairs to the top for an even better view! The USS Constitution, nicknamed “Old Ironsides" in the war of 1812, is the world’s oldest commissioned naval ship still afloat.
