What time should I arrive?
Answer
Please plan to arrive by 5:00pm so you have time to settle in before the ceremony begins at 5:30

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Cocktail attire is preferred: cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks. But feel free to wear whatever you feel comfortable in—just please, no white dresses, ladies and gents. And remember: Charleston in August is hot and humid! The ceremony and reception will be indoors, but cocktail hour will be outside (weather permitting).

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

The reception ends at 10:30. Plans for an after-party at The Ryder Hotel are in the works.

Where should I stay?

Mary and Jordan will be staying at The Ryder Hotel in downtown Charleston, and we’d love for you to join us there! Please use our unique booking link by July 24th so you can receive a discounted rate and we can meet our hotel block quota. The Ryder is a 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk from our wedding venue.

Can I extend my hotel reservation at the discounted rate?
Answer
Yes! If you are staying at The Ryder and would like to check in earlier than 8/24 or check out after 8/26, you can extend your reservation at the discounted rate by emailing LGonzalez@theryderhotel.com (subject to availability, so the earlier, the better). You can also reach out to Luis Gonzalez via email if the link is showing no rooms available.

Do I need to rent a car?

If you’re staying in downtown Charleston, you probably don’t need a rental car. The downtown area is very walkable, and you can use Uber/Lyft to get to/from the CHS airport.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes, the Cedar Room has free parking on-site, but it's shared with the adjacent businesses and is available first come, first serve.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony and reception will be indoors, and the cocktail hour will be outdoors (weather permitting). Charleston is hot in August, so please plan accordingly.

What kind of food/drinks will be served?

Cocktail hour will include an open bar and passed hors d'oeuvres. The reception will include an open bar and dinner stations, including pescatarian options. **If you need a vegetarian/vegan plate, please message Mary and Jordan by August 15th**

It's the day of the wedding and I need help. Who can I call?
Answer
If there is something urgent, try contacting Mark Murphy (Mary's Man of Honor) or Leah (our wedding planner). Contact details are to come. Do not expect a response if you call/text Mary or Jordan on the wedding day. Mary has a hard enough time responding to your texts on non-wedding days.
