Josh and Carly went on a vacation to Tennessee for their birthdays, but little did Carly know, there were bigger plans in store than birthday celebrations. The evening started with a delicious steak dinner made by Josh on the balcony overlooking a beautiful mountain. After everything had been cleaned up, the scent of fresh mountain air and the light of the firepit set the scene for the big question. Looking out at the mountain and a sky full of stars, Josh began by recalling the twists and turns of the story that lead to this moment. Halfway through his story, Carly’s intrusive thoughts won and she started to pat Josh down looking for the ring box! Josh gently guided her hands away and got down on one knee with the words: “Will you marry me?” Carly, skipping a step, responded “We’re going to be fiancés?!” So clearly, Carly was ready for this moment! For the rest of the night, time practically stood still as the two soaked up the feeling of being engaged, imagining the rest of their lives together.
