Our love story began in 2016 at Millikan High School, on the very first day of 9th grade. Monique was running late to art class after getting confused by the bell schedule, and the only seat left just happened to be the one meant for her. While the teacher was going over the syllabus, two boys kept whispering and laughing. When Monique finally looked up, one of them was Alex. After a few weeks of art class, Monique worked up the courage to make a move. She walked over to Alex’s table and asked to borrow his paper to measure a border. From that moment on, they started talking every day, and on January 23, 2017, they officially began dating. Now here’s the fun part: Monique kept their relationship a secret for four whole years. Yes...four. Despite the secrecy, their love only grew stronger. Since then, they’ve grown up side by side, graduating college together, traveling the world, chasing their dreams, and supporting each other through every chapter. What started as a late walk into art class turned into a love that has only grown stronger, and they can’t wait to begin this next chapter together.
