Christopher and I met at Church, but we didn’t speak to each other. When I got older, I sent Chris a message on Facebook Messenger. We started talking and became good friends. Little by little, we started to like each other but I would back away because I was scared to be in a relationship with him. One night in 2023, he sent me a beautiful box. When I opened the box, the most beautiful butterflies came out. As if that wasn't cute enough, I then found a note saying “Would you be my girlfriend?" I was so happy and I told him that I would give him an answer if he came down to see me in person. Christopher did exactly that - he came to New York to visit me. I set up my dining table and made it look nice. I cooked for him but amongst trying to get ready, the pasta got soggy. I wanted everything to be perfect for when I gave him an answer. I gave him the answer before we ate our soggy pasta. I told him “YES, I would be your girlfriend! On January 19, 2024, after my cousin's wedding, I went out with my family in Florida and got in a really bad car accident. I was traumatized and crying. I got back to the AirBnb and called Christopher. I told him what happened and he told me he was going to board an airplane to come see me. Right there, he comforted me and I felt so safe. I knew at that moment he was the right man for me. On January 21, 2024, he came to Kentucky to see me and made sure I was well. On January 22, 2024, Christopher surprised me by proposing and I said YES! A date I'll never forget. Here we are today ready to come before our family and friends to unite in matrimony, to enjoy ourselves for the rest of our lives and make new memories. Here's to forever!
