Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

If you're traveling from Cleveland and looking for a direct flight, LAX will have more options. United has a flight that leaves CLE around 7:30AM EST and arrives in Los Angeles 9:30AM PST. That gives you the whole day to enjoy and explore the city! Frontier and Spirit have direct flights also, but for your comfort, I would recommend United.

Hollywood Burbank Airport

If you are travelling by air within California, Southwest Airlines and other carriers offers flights from several destinations into Burbank airport, which is located just 20 minutes or so from the Pasadena area. In general, Burbank is a much more convenient option if you are planning on staying on the east side of town.

If you're looking to extend your stay in Southern California, we would recommend checking out an Air BnB or a VRBO. A great area to look in is Old Town Pasadena. This is downtown Pasadena and has a bunch of shops, restaurants, and coffee shops. Also a short Uber or Lyft ride away from the Rose Bowl where you can hang out in the park or walk around the bowl. If you're looking to stay by the beach, you can check out the areas between Santa Monica and Manhattan Beach. This area includes Marina Del Rey (super close to LAX) & the world famous Venice Beach. Just be weary of the infamous Los Angeles traffic.
