Grant and Sammy’s story began back in May 2019 in a very modern way, on Bumble. After finding mutual interests in Star Wars and love for family time, they had their first date at Blaze Pizza. They both worked for Academy Sports, but at different locations, so Sammy rambled on and on about work. At the end of the night, Grant gave her a side hug and she was convinced that was the last time she’d see him. Sammy knew she just blew it. Luckily she was wrong. After five amazing years of dating, the big day finally came. The proposal was nothing short of magical. With both of their families there to surprise Sammy at Disney World the day before, she had a feeling something might happen… but still waited anxiously for the moment. (And yes, Mickey ears were strictly prohibited for the occasion.) Behind the Tree of Life, Grant got down on one knee, but he was so nervous he couldn’t even get the words out. Sammy being so overjoyed, could barely speak between the tears. Grant and Sammy are so excited to celebrate this next chapter together and to begin their happily ever after surrounded by the people they love most.
