Shelby & Ashton met in what can only be described as a rom-com moment. Ashton was out for a girls' night with her best friend Shayla, while Shelby happened to be out with one of his best buddies, Rance. Fate (and a little friendly planning) brought the two groups together that night. Ashton first noticed Shelby at the bar and thought he was cute—completely unaware he was the friend joining them. Shelby sat down right next to her and was instantly struck by her beauty. From that moment on, he made it a point to sit beside her the rest of the night. The group ended up playing a game of cornhole, where Shelby tried to impress with his skills—he’s actually pretty good. Ashton, on the other hand, isn’t exactly a pro and even managed to hit the string lights trying to toss the bag too hard. Everyone burst out laughing, especially Shelby. Whenever he scored a point, he’d throw in a little celebratory dance, which kept Ashton laughing all night. As the evening went on, Ashton and Shelby found themselves deep in conversation, quickly realizing there was a spark. But the night ended without either of them getting the other's number, leaving Ashton a bit confused. The next day, she thought, “Screw it,” and sent him a friend request—one that Shelby accepted almost instantly. He’d been kicking himself for not asking for her number and wasted no time messaging her with, “Soooo… you got Snapchat? Lol.” Just two and a half weeks later, they made it official. Fast forward a few years, Ashton and Shelby now live together in Spring, Texas with their two dogs, Cowboy and Bucky. They love spending time with each other, their friends, and their families—and they couldn’t be more excited to celebrate their wedding day with all of you.
