After meeting on a dating app called Bumble and getting to know each other for a few weeks by phone, Will picked me up for our first date. I was so nervous that my first words to him were, "Hi, I'm Brittany. I'm so nervous I'm going to throw up." Clearly the date went well, even with that opener, because we went for cupcakes after dinner. We sat outside and talked for hours. When the evening was over, we were both in agreement that it was the best first date ever. I knew deep down that he was the one. He would take a few more dates to agree. We spent as many days as possible going on dates and getting to truly know the other person. On May 13th, 2019 in Arizona, we along with one of his sisters and his mother hiked the Wave Cave Trail where he asked me to marry him on top of this rock structure that resembles a wave. Of course I said yes, and the planning began!
