The Filipino Money Dance also known as the prosperity dance is a Filipino wedding tradition where male guests line up in front of the bride to pin money on her dress while women guests pin money on the groom. The pinning can get creative with bills pinned together as garlands, made into crowns, or streaming down their clothing. Money pinned or taped onto the new married couple's garments represents a wish that good fortune be "rained" upon them. The secret to managing the spontaneity (borderline joyful chaos) of the Filipino money dance is ample preparation.
